Find Them Child Safety Standards
Last updated September 30, 2026
Find Them helps neighbors find missing children, adults in someone's care, and lost pets. Keeping
children safe is the reason the app exists. We have zero tolerance for child sexual
abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and child sexual abuse material (CSAM).
If a child is in danger right now, call 911.
What is never allowed
- Any image, video, text or link that sexualizes a minor, including child sexual abuse material.
- Grooming, sexual solicitation or sexual messages to or about a minor, and sextortion.
- Child trafficking, or offering or seeking access to a child.
- Using a post or a sighting to find, follow, contact or harm a child, or posting a child who is not
missing.
How the app protects children
- Find Them is for ages 13 and older.
- Only a parent, guardian, family member or caregiver can post a missing person. For a missing
person, the app asks them to call 911 first and confirm a police report.
- Sightings go privately to the person who posted, never public.
- There is no private messaging between users.
- Posts end on their own after 14 days unless kept up. When someone is found, one tap takes the
post down and deletes its photos and sightings.
How to report a concern
- In the app: open the post and tap Report. You can also block a
person so you no longer see their posts or sightings.
- By email: happydead313@gmail.com,
subject "Find Them child safety".
What we do
- Reports are reviewed by the administrator. Child safety reports are handled first.
- Content that breaks these standards is removed, and the account is banned permanently: its
posts are hidden and its sign-in is turned off.
- Child sexual abuse material is reported to the National Center for Missing & Exploited
Children (NCMEC) CyberTipline, as U.S. law requires, and preserved for law enforcement.
- We cooperate with law enforcement and follow the child safety laws that apply to us.
